Learn by Doing. Grow by Leading.
Hands-on learning, leadership and life skills through our partnership with 4-H Ontario.
At Three Brother Academy, learning does not stop at a desk. Through our partnership with 4-H Ontario, students take part in meaningful, hands-on projects that build confidence, responsibility, leadership and practical life skills.
Rooted in 4-H’s motto, “Learn To Do By Doing,” this experience gives students opportunities to explore the farm, care for animals, grow food, work as a team and take pride in contributing to their school community.
During the 2026–2027 school year, Three Brother Academy students will participate in 4-H projects as part of their school experience and earn 4-H project credits along the way.
A Meaningful Partnership
Our teachers lead 4-H projects within the school setting, creating an experience that is engaging, age-appropriate and connected to the way students learn each day at Three Brother Academy.
Families do not need to register separately. Participation information, waivers and the annual participant fee are collected through the Academy’s regular registration process.
Building Skills for Life
Through 4-H, students develop:
- Leadership and communication skills
- Confidence and independence
- Teamwork and empathy
- Responsibility and follow-through
- Problem-solving and resilience
- A deeper connection to food, nature and community
What Students Experience
Farm & Animal Care
Students develop responsibility and confidence through age-appropriate farm responsibilities, animal care and learning about where food comes from.
Gardening & Food Literacy
From planting and harvesting to understanding nutrition and food production, students connect with the land and see the results of their work firsthand.
Leadership & Teamwork
4-H projects help students practise communication, cooperation, public speaking, problem-solving and leadership in a supportive setting.
Hands-On Projects
Students learn through real projects—not just discussion. They explore, create, ask questions, work together and build skills they can carry into everyday life.
Community & Responsibility
Students learn the value of showing up, helping others, following through and contributing to something bigger than themselves.
More Than Farm Learning
4-H Ontario offers learning opportunities across agriculture and food, the environment, healthy living, STEM and community engagement. At Three Brother Academy, our projects will naturally connect with our farm setting while helping students develop confidence, character and practical skills.
